About the show: American photographer Danny Lyon didn’t just document the Chicago Outlaws Motorcycle Club: he joined them as a member while still an undergraduate at the University of Chicago. In his words, it was an “attempt to record and glorify the life of the American bikerider.” The result was a new form of documentary photography that brought viewers into the worlds of its subjects with intimacy, grit, and humanity.

In Danny Lyon: The Bikeriders, the Currier tells stories of individuality, belonging, and American myth building with 16 exceptional photographs and two photorealism prints.
