About the event
Find yourself at the Currier for an enriching and enlivening creative day centered around two exciting exhibitions, Spray: Jules Olitski in the 1960s and Painting in Color: Contemporary Abstraction.
The Currier is unique in offering close-knit conversations with globally-important contemporary artists. For Spray Day, Painting in Color artists Heather Hutchison and Jane Swavely -- both deeply influenced by Jules Olitski's work with color -- come to the Currier for an interactive Art Talk. Then, enjoy a music performance of John Luther Adam’s "Red Arc/Blue Veil" to experience the intersections of sound and color. The day culminates with a tour of these two incredible exhibitions led by Director of Curatorial Affairs, Bruce McColl.
Consider Spray Day your spring creative retreat -- accessible, energizing, and inspiring.
Get to know Jane Swavely in this recent profile in The American Scholar about some of her work featured in Painting in Color.
Presented in collaboration with the Saint Anselm College Fine Art Department, Spray Day is a ticketed event. Pre-registration is required.
$5 for members; $25 for not-yet-members (includes museum admission)
