Introduction to Handwoven Tapestry with Lisa Almeida
When: Saturday, November 15 from 10 am to 3 pm
What: In this workshop, students will create images with fiber using a simple tapestry loom. Join us as we weave a tiny tapestry from start to finish, and learn more about this decorative, functional, and expressive art form!
Location: Purple Studio (lower level of the Currier)
Cost: $125
Materials Fee: This workshop will include an additional materials fee of $40 paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop. Materials include a wooden tapestry lap loom with accessories (beater comb, shuttle stick & tapestry needles) – all of which you will keep and enough cotton warp and wool to complete the class project and another like it at home.
