Educators & Schools
Art for every student
Thousands of students visit the Currier every year
with their school. For many of these students,
it’s their first time inside an art museum.
Thanks to generous donor support, the Currier offers school tours at no-cost to all New Hampshire schools and provides transportation scholarships through our Yellow Bus Fund.
They are elementary school students with giant imaginations discovering color and shape, as well as creativity and collaboration.
They are middle school students encountering new perspectives and finding their own voices in a safe and supportive environment.
They are high school students, drawing connections between disciplines and strengthening their critical thinking skills.
Education is integral
to the Currier’s mission
because art is integral to education.

-
TransportationTours start and end at the Currier Museum of Art. Park in the museum’s free parking lot and then check in for your tour at Guest Services. Your tour group will be driven by the museum in a van to the houses to begin your tour experience. Please be at the museum 15 minutes prior to your tour to check in. Do not go directly to either of the houses. Late arrivals forfeit their tour if the van has already left.
-
Tour experienceVisits begin with a brief introduction and close looking together outdoors, followed by personal exploration in the houses with expert volunteer guides available for questions. The tour of each house concludes with interactive outdoor viewing and time for questions. Tours last two hours. Comfortable shoes and dressing for time outdoors recommended.
