Membership Changes FAQs
The last time the Currier adjusted membership rates was in 2008, when we reopened the Museum following our massive expansion project. We have been committed to keeping membership affordable for all, even as the costs involved in fulfilling your membership benefits (such as postage, security and more) have increased significantly each year. Membership at the Currier remains the most inexpensive way to visit the Museum frequently during the year. Starting September 4, we have simplified the terms of membership, creating a structure more consistent with our peer institutions. For most membership levels, the increase in rates is modest, less than the cost of two visits to the Museum!
We are thoroughly committed to making your experience as a Currier Member the best that it can be. The adjustments to membership levels and rates will allow us to continue offering high-quality membership benefits. More importantly, they provide crucial support for our educational and outreach programs, special exhibitions and critical conservation efforts that are integral to the Currier’s mission.

Not at all, your current benefits will continue until your membership expiration.
As a valued Contributor member, your current membership benefits will remain in effect through your expiration date. When it’s time to renew, we hope you’ll consider renewing as a Sponsor ($200) to enjoy benefits such as reciprocity at more than 600 museums, guest privileges to member previews and opportunities to attend docent-led presentations. Or, you can renew at the Household level ($80) to continue to enjoy the Museum with your immediate family.
Yes, before the prices change on September 4, 2013 you may renew or give a gift at the current rate.
This offer is available until September 3, 2013. After that, renewals will be at the new rates.
You will not receive a new card until you renew your membership. Your current card will be valid until your expiration date.
