Looking for something new and exciting to do with the kids? There’s plenty to see and do with your family at the Currier! Visit the new Discovery Gallery use our family guide to explore the galleries, and check out our family programs below. All programs are free with museum admission unless otherwise indicated. Assistive listening systems are available for all programs in the galleries, auditorium, and studios.

Storytime in the Gallery 
4th Monday of every month, 11:30 am - noon
Looking for a way to introduce your preschooler to art? Come to the Currier for an art-related story read by Manchester City Library children's librarian Karyn Isleb followed by a gallery talk about the "Artwork of the Day." Recommended for ages 3 to 5, but all are welcome.

STORIES & ARTWORK OF THE DAY:
August 23 - Listen to My Best Friend is as Sharp as a Pencil by Hanoch Piven and look at the Jerome Liebling: Capturing the Human Spirit exhibition.
September 16 - Listen to Water Dance by Thomas Locker and look at Marshfield Meadows by Martin Johnson Heade. 

Family Summer Studio
Every Wednesday in August, 2:30 - 4:30 pm
Drop in to experiment with a variety of art materials and check out the "Artwork of the Day." Each week will feature a different project related to the monthly theme.

Family Saturdays 
The second Saturday of the month, 10:30 am – 1:30 pm
Spend some quality family time at the Currier the second Saturday of every month. Participate in hands-on art activities, go on a guided family gallery walk (11:30 am), visit the new Discovery Gallery, or use a family gallery guide. Each Family Saturday will focus on a different theme. Museum admission is free from 10 am to 12 pm.

Family Super Saturday: Art in Motion
Saturday, August 14, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
Join us for a day filled with family fun and learn about sculptures that move! Get moving yourself with Kinodance, a group of interdisciplinary artists from Boston, as they lead a creative movement tour of kinetic sculpture at 11:30 am. The SEE Science Center will be on site to explain the science behind the mesmerizing motion of some of the works. Be sure to drop by the art-making workshop and make your own sculpture that moves to take home.

New Parent Gallery Talks 
The third Thursday of the month, 11 am – 12 pm
Has your new baby reduced your vocabulary to coos and other nonsensical words? These gallery talks are designed for new parents (with baby in tow) to get a personalized tour of the museum. So pack up the baby stroller and stop by for some much needed adult conversation.

Arty Party 
Create a lasting memory for your child and guests. Your Arty Party will include an hour and a half-long art activity which the children can take home and a half hour birthday celebration. Arty Parties are scheduled on a first come first served basis on Saturdays beginning the first of September until the end of May.

The Art Center decorates, while refreshments and party foods are the responsibility of parents. The $140 fee includes up to ten guests; each additional guest is $12. Dual Plus Members receive a 10% discount. If you are not a current member we will gladly take your new membership at the time you book the party.
