Looking for something new and exciting to do with the kids? There’s plenty to see and do with your family at the Currier! Visit the
 Discovery Gallery use our family guide to explore the galleries, and check out our family programs below. All programs are free with museum admission unless otherwise indicated. 
Assistive listening systems are available for all programs in the galleries, auditorium, and studios.

Winter School Vacation Week
Museum admission is free for all during Winter School Vacation Week, February 27-March 2! (Closed Tuesday.) Free admission for the week is underwritten by Citizens Bank Foundation. Bring your family to one of the fun programs listed below and stay for lunch in the café.

Morning Storytime in the Gallery
Monday, February 27, 11:30 am
– Listen to Perfect Square by Michael Hall, look at Homage to the Square: Early Rising I by Josef Albers, and create a work of art of your own. Recommended for ages 2 – 5 but all are welcome.
Afternoon Storytime in the Gallery
Monday, February 27, 1 pm
– Listen to An Eye for Color: The Story of Josef Albers by Natasha Wing, look at Homage to the Square: Early Rising I by Josef Albers, and create a work of art of your own. Recommended for ages 5 – 8 but all are welcome.
Family Studio
Wednesday, February 29, 11 am-1 pm
Create a mobile inspired by the work of artist Alexander Calder.
Family Drawing in the Galleries
Thursday, March 1, 11 am-1 pm
Like drawing? Get inspired by art on view in the galleries!

Storytime in the Gallery 
4th Monday of every month, 11:30 am
Looking for a way to introduce your preschooler to art? Come to the Currier for an art-related story read by children's librarian Karyn Isleb and look at the "Artwork of the Day." Then go down to the studio and create a work of art of your own. Recommended for ages 2 to 5, but all are welcome.
STORIES & ARTWORKS OF THE DAY:

March 26 - Listen to Lines that Wiggle by Candace Whitman, look at prints by Terry Winters, and make a work of art of your own.

Family Saturdays 
The second Saturday of the month, 10 am – 1 pm 
Spend some quality family time at the Currier the second Saturday of every month. Participate in hands-on art activities, go on a guided family gallery walk (11:30 am), visit the new Discovery Gallery, or use a family gallery guide. Each Family Saturday will focus on a different theme. Museum admission is free from 10 am to noon every Saturday.

New Parent Gallery Talks 
The third Thursday of the month, 11 am – 12 pm
Has your new baby reduced your vocabulary to coos and other nonsensical words? These gallery talks are designed for new parents (with baby in tow) to get a personalized tour of the museum. So pack up the baby stroller and stop by for some much needed adult conversation.

Spring School Vacation Week

Arty Party 

Create a lasting memory for your child and guests. Your Arty Party will include an hour and a half-long art activity which the children can take home and a half-hour birthday celebration. Arty Parties are scheduled on a first come/first served basis on Saturdays, beginning the first of September until the end of May.

The Art Center decorates, while refreshments and party foods are the responsibility of parents. The $140 fee includes up to ten guests; each additional guest is $12. Dual Plus Members receive a 10% discount. If you are not a current member we will gladly take your new membership at the time you book the party.
