Rights & Reproductions

Image Requests and Reproduction Rights

Educational Use:
8 x 10 in. black & white photographs of objects in the Currier's permanent collection may be purchased upon written request. These images may only be used for educational or personal use and cannot be published in any form.

Reproduction Rights: For reproduction requests, digital images are available for purchase and 4 x 5 in. color transparencies may be rented for a four (4) month period. For cases in which the museum does not hold reproduction copyright, it is entirely the reponsibility of the applicant to obtain all necessary rights and provide the museum with proof in writing.

Note: The purchase or rental of all photographic materials is based upon availability. New photography of collection objects may also be purchased when scheduling permits.

All requests must be in writing and include the following information:

  • Contact information
  • Accession number and/or title and artist of artwork to be reproduced
  • Intended use of image and/or publishing details(title, author,etc)
  • Print run

Please allow at least three weeks for processing if photographic material is available.

Payment

All fees are determined at the discretion of the museum and may be changed without notice. Payment must be received in advance of shipment on all orders. We can only accept payment in the form of checks drawn from a U.S. bank, paid in U.S. dollars and by credit card (VISA or Mastercard).
