Play Reading: Time Stands Still
2 p.m. Adult Programs
theatre KAPOW, recently named Best Contemporary Theatre in New Hampshire by the editors of New Hampshire Magazine, will present a play reading of Time Stands Still by Donald Margulies. This Tony-nominated 2009 drama is the story of Sarah and James – a photographer and a journalist – who share a passion for the adrenaline rush caused from reporting in the world’s deadliest war zones. Although their lives are devoted to telling the toughest stories from across the globe, they grapple with how to separate themselves from the actions they witness. A brief post-performance discussion moderated by Dr. Landis K. Magnuson, professor of theater at St. Anselm College, will provide guests with a chance to reflect on the play and the themes and issues it presents. The event concludes with an opportunity to view Visual Dispatches in the galleries. Free for members and general admission for non-members. Supported in part by the New Hampshire Humanities Council.
